Soil – It’s much more important than you think
This project was undertaken to sensitize the children about the affects of deforestation and soil erosion on the precious natural resource – THE SOIL.
The students participated enthusiastically in this activity and came up with beautiful creations.

Under the ISA Project- “Soil- The Soul of Earth”, Class V students visited the school garden to study the different components of soil. They looked for different living organisms present in soil like ants, earthworm, termites, etc. They also performed an activity to show the presence of air in soil. They also learnt that the organic component of soil – humus is formed when dead plant and animal matter decays. Later on, they presented their findings in the form of a pie chart.
I am an Educator who believes on philosophy of balancing moral education with our normal education. Education should not be limited to Books only. Moral education is equally important to be inculcated in Kids. And best way is to involve them in moral and social activities. This is my first step in this front. Hope you will appreciate this.
